Dear beloved ARMY,

It's already the end of November, the wind is really strong these days. You probably already know, so I just wanted to write a short letter to you .

This coming December, I will be embarking on a new journey. To complete my miliary service, I will be leaving your side for a short while. As I tell you this, on one hand, my heart feels heavy, but on the other, all the precious memories I have with ARMY come to mind and my heart feels warm. All the moments I have spent with you until now have been the most brilliant times of my life. Your smiles, your cheers and your love have brought me to where I am. Thank you so much for cheering my dream on and for silently walking beside me. I'm a bit cautious of just going ahead and asking you to wait. A year and 6 months is quite a long time so I don't think I can be selfish and say things like that but when I come back, I promise that I will go back to the place I have always been and stand on stage as a more developed version of myself.

A letter (eng trans) from j-hope was posted on Twitter to celebrate the occasion.

A festival was also held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. It featured a ground event (Notice, Official merch) with several pop-up stands and an in-person event (Notice, #오늘의방탄 tweet) starring a freshly-released-from-the-military Jin.

This second one was split in two sessions. The first one, “Jin’s Greetings”, was a series of hugs from Jin to a 1000 ARMY. The second one, “Message from Jin : June 13 2024,☀️”, was a performance of Jin's solo songs :

Dear Goldy - Not - Goldy, I didn't want to disturb you, but you are probably the only person whose opinion I would like to know about JK's TIK TOK account. When Jung Kook deleted his IG account, I was shocked, I admit. I thought: this man is wonderfully unpredictable, uncompromising.

I enthusiastically told my friend about it, leaving out all the context, just the fact that a BTS guy deleted an account that had over 40 million followers. A friend who works in marketing immediately said "they must have told him". Literally: agency. I was outraged. After some time, information appeared in SM that the head of tik tok invites JK to tik tok. I was hoping it was just a joke. and yet not. Shouldn't we consider it likely that the JK's rebel image is a marketing ploy? And that someone taught from a teenager to follow the expectations of others will do it, because the rebellion gene would be nipped in the bud?

Jeon Jungkook was told to delete his Instagram and he did??? Scratching my head on that really. By that i disagree with that assertion. Why would they ask him to delete his IG and not ask the members to delete theirs too?

So he can promote tiktok instead is that it??? Or that's not what you implying with the whole he went to see tiktok big brains part??? If that's the argument, then I recall Instagram messaging him too asking him if he needed assistance restoring his account🤷🏾

He's a huge brand and these platforms want him that's for facts. I wager they'd want to pay hefty commissions to him to keep him on there- but the fact that this was his burner account and not his official account kinda means he sneaked under company and tiktok noses.

He probably doesn't want the attention. His eye 👁 pfp reminds me of my header- it also reminds me of his eye tattoo. Weird.

It's not at all surprising he has a secret tiktok account. We've always said they are among us on secret accounts, engaging with us, seeing, reading and hearing everything. They did it with Twitter, IG, YT, Tiktok, Tumblr- wherever there's army there's BTS. They are watching.

So I wouldn't want to read too much into this or treat it as some conspiracy theory out there- but that's me. I could be wrong so to each their own.

But really what does the company stand to gain from him deleting his IG and losing all that followers. Some people have 1m followers and do you know how much money that translates into for them????

Platforms like IG is often negotiated as part of their brand deals. Brands are not only paying you to use your face and image to promote their Brands, they pay these celebs EXTRA cash to post branded content on their personal platforms.

Jungkook is the only member who hasn't monetized his platform. He is on tiktok yes, but it isn't monetized. I think he enjoys his freedom too much. He deleted ig because he said there was no point in having it if he couldn't do whatever he wanted with it- if I recall correctly. And he said he has no intentions of going back there. He keeps saying that in spite of the financial opportunities that exist on there for him- and remember this is the same dude who risked lawsuits to promote his brother's brand. You'd think a platform such as IG would come in handy if he wants to help himself and others as well.

His rebellious image as a marketing ploy- at this point I squint in confusion. A ploy means its fake and not at all real. Well, it's a marketing ploy if the year is 2009 and Jungkook can't see past Namjoon's thick thighs to stay in the group lol.

Personally I think his "rebellious image" if we should call it that, is not at act. He is in fact strong willed and assertive. The rebelliousness it stems from a lot of things- Namjoon mentioned he went through a teenage rebellious phase which i think is very much normal. Sometimes he becomes rebellious if his values conflict with others. Eg if hybe and the brands' policies conflicts with his personal values. It's not all an act, or persona or marketing- it's him unable to conform his values unto theirs and reconcile those. He has said this over and over. Remember how he said he went with Calvin Klein because their values matched his? They probably aren't breathing down his neck and threatening to cut ties with him if he breaks his family friendly image or gets involved in a scandal. These companies can be so brutal.

He is not a sell out. He stays true to himself always and he's being driven by a strong inner sense of self and a strong moral compass.

He would go with the company's plans and strategies if he thinks it suits him or if he wants to do it. If he don't then he won't- no one can mke him do what he don't like. It's that simple.

the only way he would do something he doesn't want to do is if it's for love i'd assume or if he were contractually obligated to do so.

There's also a recurring theme with him which is that HE IS A FREE BIRD can't cage him, won't tame him, he does and will do whatever he damn pleases. That makes him come off as rebellious. It's what we mean when we say he's Jeon Jungkook. Kinda admire him on that score

Could this persona have been carved for him in the early days? Sure. BUT THEY ALL SAID THEY STOPPED GOING WITH THE COMPANY SCRIPT BECAUSE IT DIDN'T SUIT THEM. Jin even talked about this too.

Recently he asked someone on his live whether they were child- safe to say he's grown up himself no? While in the group he always wanted to be respected and treated as an adult. I'm sorry but I don't think he would avail his strings to be pulled on like a puppet by anyone.

Plus this is his Solo phase. Those personas were fashioned to keep the group interesting. He's not in a group anymore and dont need these tactics. He's outgrown them. and the only persona that sells for him is if he is himself. HE IS THE BRAND. HIM. NOBODY ELSE.

I for one I'm more interested in Jeon Jungkook than any facade anyone wants him to put on.

Also their solo phase certainly impacts the power dynamics between the company and the boys. He can decide be don't want to do solo or music any more and the company won't have anything to say about that. Of course there's still contracts with brands, and record labels and food delivery and he has to fulfill his obligations under those but it's pretty much his way or the high way these days 🥴

I like to think he has more control over his career and life in general now compared to when he was part of a group and just a child pursuing a career in an industry such as kpop. As a member of a team his identity was tied to the groups. Whatever he said and did affected everyone's career and reputation in the group, and in turn affected their brand deals so there was so much pressure to conform and so much censorship of his actions and words whereas now whatever he does dont affects them. just him and his brand.

You can see his marketing strategies though. Participating in challenges, going on live shows to promote his music, sharing links on weverse, filming with members- I don't even think he's leaning so much into his ships as a means of pushing his song. Trust me, he's not compromising himself and his values just to sell a song. He's doing everything by the books. Nothing shady going on here🥴

As usual it's just my opinion. Time will tell if he's doing all this as some marketing ploy.

There's no real way for me to tell which asks are yours if you're anonymous. That said, if I get an ask I find interesting or don't mind answering, I usually will answer it. I'm bored of repeating myself though, I really don't need to read for the umpteenth time about how much Jimin is hated and how everyone close to him is out to get him; I'm tired of pointing out obvious things like how different labels managed each member's roll-out a.k.a HYBE America vs. ADOR vs. BigHit - a point that eliminates most of the conspiracy theories floating around about Jimin, Jungkook, and BTS; or pointing out how Jimin and BTS re-signed with BigHit early, twice. I'm tired of reminding people corporate interests are pretty straightforward, I'm tired of seeing the same impotent threats and complaints seven times over. The fandom has already imploded so every akgae claim about the fandom has become a self-fulfilling and self-reinforcing prophesy. And I've seen this movie play out before so it's pretty easy to tell where we're going from here.

A lot of people are generally myopic and predictable, and that hasn't changed in fandom spaces in decades. People here are having the same discussions they had last year, with themes that have been repeated every 2-3 years since BTS debuted. And I'm certain we'll be talking about the same things in 2025 and 2027, give or take some 'life event' chatter. None of the people here will ever really leave either. Because nobody who gets into BTS ever really leaves or moves on from them (whether they hate or love them), so these narratives no matter how repetitive, will never dramatically change. Each new person entering the fandom will pick up these narratives based on their pre-conceived notions, self-sorting into ARMYs and akgaes, and so the dueling narratives continue to persist for each new generation of fans. I can count on one hand the number of original ideas re: Jimin, jikook, Jung Kook, BTS, HYBE, k-pop, I've seen the last 12 months, and I'm not saying that to be condescending. I'm actually quite sad about it.

Anyway, all this to say Anon, I'm skipping those conversations because I've had those conversations before, already said my piece and would rather not repeat myself. You can still send your ask. I can't guarantee answering it but if I find it interesting, I might.

i remembered smthing that i thought u might find interesting. Around 2 years ago I was just searching up stuff about the 2015/16 gay couple blind item article on twt and I came across like some ta*kook shippers. They were having a convo and one of them brought up the article and how it was about ta*kook but then the other person replied ‘oh that doesn’t count’ bc she’d already discussed that article with a k///army and they’d told her told her that the blind item was known to be from eggso. she’d censored out the names as well and she’d never really tweeted about them before when i tried to check.

And abt taekook I saw many koreans saying they're just very close friends and that nothing is between them but again they have many evidence and fanservice ! But it's not always real what koreans say. But honestly everytime I talked to a korean army they never fail to say they hate hearing taekook as a couple and they roast their followers who ask them if they're real. I even saw pics of Jung/kook with his Gfs and tae too! But again, we can't know if they're lying or being honest. Kim Namjoon.

Your boyfriend Namjoon had wrapped the both of you in blankets as the two of you, and the rest of BTS, watched movie after movie. You had just gotten over a sickness that caused you to be bedridden for a couple of weeks before you could even think of seeing the boys again. Namjoon held you close throughout every film, he was laid on his back with you laid directly on top of him, using his chest as a pillow as his arms held you securely to his body. "Joonie, I'm going to have to go soon." you mumbled quietly as the other boys argued over what film to watch next. He let out a quiet noise of disagreement and held you tighter, "No. Stay." He dragged his words out and pouted cutely at you. An uncontrollable smile grew on your face, "Okay, just for tonight." You pecked his lips before turning to the boys, "I agree with Tae, Train to Busan is one of the best films ever." Groans of 'noona' and ‘Y/N’ erupted in the room, as Taehyung cheered happily, you giggled a little, snuggling back into Namjoon’'s chest.

Kim Seokjin.

"That was the best film I've seen in awhile." Jin spoke with a smile, as his arm wrapped around your shoulders holding you close to his side. You quickly moved your arm around his waist and agreed, "See I told you handsome!" You rested your head on his shoulder as the both of you moved slowly towards the dorm. You knew you'd have to leave as soon as you got there, but you could never say no to seeing your 7 favoruite boys. As you turned onto the street that held said building, there was a loud crash of thunder before heavy rain suddenly lashed down from the sky. You stood in shock for a second before grabbing Jin's hand, you both ran as quickly as you could you could, willing to get indoors. Once you were safe inside the dorms and the damage had been done, you and Jin merely laughed it off as the boys came to question you about the film and why the both of you were soaking. "Here, you can wear something of mine. Oh and go get a shower to warm yourself up." His motherly side quickly came out as he asked Jimin to go and get something for you to wear, "(Y/N), why don't you stay tonight? It's really throwing it down outside, and I want you to catch a cold." Jin spoke softly, whilst handing you a towel and some of his warm, dry clothes. You smiled gratefully and nodded, before moving to the bathroom to get a warm shower.

Min Yoongi.

Today was the day you and Yoongi were supposed to go on your monthly date, but due to the storm raging outside, you both settled on the couch in the dorm with popcorn and other treats whilst some movie playing in the background. The rain slammed into the window panes, accompanied by the loud crashes of thunder and bright sparks of lightning. However, you were more focused on your boyfriend, you admired the slope of his nose, his soft looking lips, the slight chub on his pale cheeks; you were so caught up in his looks that you hadn't noticed the film was over till he asked how if liked it. "It was okay, not my type though." You mumbled out, picking up your phone to check the time. 11:36pm. "Shit, Yoongs I got to go." You pushed yourself off the couch quickly, only to be grabbed by the arm and pulled back onto the Yoongi's lap. "Like hell you are. We're in the middle of the worst storm of the year! Stay here tonight babe, I doubt any bus will be running now anyway." His arms tightened around your shoulders, squeezing your head into his chest. There was no way you were leaving now.

Jung Hoseok.

You had spent the majority of the day with the boys, getting to know the group that your boyfriend was apart of. Honestly, you knew they were fun, but this was ridiculous! Your ribs and cheeks hurt from laughing too hard at whatever Jungkook had said Jimin, you couldn't remember, but it had you and everyone else in stitches. After eating the specially made dinner by Jin, everyone had scattered from the kitchen to different places around the dorm. You staying in the kitchen helping Jin put the dishes away, you peered at the clock hung on the wall only to see that it was already 10pm. With a sigh, you bid your goodbye to Jin whilst you made your way to the front door of the dorms, preparing to leave, "Baby sunshine, I've got to go." You called your boyfriend whilst slipping on your shoes. "I've told you not to call me that (Y/N)! Besides it's too late for you to go out now, it's dangerous out there." Hobi came into view, grabbing your hands and pulling you close to him. "Stay the night? I know everyone would feel better knowing you're safe." You carefully toed your shoes off and wrapped your arms around his waist, silently agreeing.

Park Jimin.

It was early morning when you sluggishly made your way downstairs, bed socks hanging off your feet and sleep still in your eyes. "(Y/N), me and Jae are leaving now babes." Your roommate (and best friend) of 4 years wrapped her arms around you and kissed the crown of your head before making her way to the door, "Behave yourself, and call if you need anything." Once the door had shut, it came to you that your roommates had gone on their honeymoon to Fiji, leaving you here. Alone. You'd have 2 and a half weeks alone in the house before they came back, and due to it being the holidays, the majority of your friends were on holiday or visiting family; apart from 1, you're boyfriend, Jimin. He wasn’t touring and was most likely back at the dorms from visiting his parents. You quickly dialed his number and pushed yourself up onto the countertop, "Hey, are free today and tomorrow?" You asked as soon as he answered, "Hey (Y/N/N), yeah we've got 4 days off. Why?" His soft and soothing voice rang through your ears causing a smile to form on your lips. "Would it be possible for you to stay over tonight? Soojin and Jae have gone now." You swung your legs childishly and bit your lip, you could hear him talking to someone in the background, probably Jin or Namjoon. "Yeah of course, I'll be there soon babe." You jumped from the countertop, "Okay Jiminie, I'll see you soon."

Kim Taehyung.

"Tae Tae! I swear to God, sto-" You were quickly cut off by your boyfriend tackling you onto the bed. This had been going on for the past 20 minutes, you had refused to share your cookie with him and he retaliates by tickling you until you can't breath. He'll stop once you reach that point but after you've caught your breath, he'll start again. Taehyung stopped his antics and rested his hands on either side of your body, holding himself above you. "You're so mean to me." You laughed out, running your hands up his arms to his shoulders with a fond smile gracing your lips. Your boyfriend shook his head with a giggle. "Am not! You're the mean one, you wouldn't share!" You scoffed lightly, mumbling a light 'am not' and pulled him down on top of you, wrapping your arms around his neck, holding him close to you. "I've got an idea, why don't you stay tonight? I mean, then we can carry on this debate on if you're actually the mean one in this relationship. Which you are." He flashed you a cheeky smile, as you pretended to think hard about his offer. "Only if I get the left side of the bed and one of your hoodies." You squished his cheeks as he muttered a quick 'deal', pecking your lips before laying his head back on your chest.

Jeon Jungkook.

You sat with your back to the wall as you eagerly watched your boyfriend and the rest of the BTS members practice the choreography of 'Dionysus'. Once the music stopped, you cheered and clapped happily, these boys were so talented. Some of them carried on standing, helping the others with whatever move they struggled with and others used the break for water and the bathroom. Jungkook plopped next to you and rested his head on your legs. You pushed his hair back from his sweaty forehead, "You did amazing Kook! ARMY is going to love it." He smiled gratefully and held your hand. "It's only because you were watching." You laughed at that comment, knowing full well he was just that talented. You picked your phone up as it pinged loudly, notifying you of a text. Your roommate had messaged you telling you to set off home now as she was getting ready to work her night shift and you had forgotten your key. You sighed quietly, "Mimi wants me home Kook." He grumbled nonsense before calling Namjoon over, "Hyung, can (Y/N) stay tonight? It's dark out and she has to walk across town." Namjoon quickly agreed stating that 'you don't have to ask, she's part of the family now.' You smiled before messaging Mimi, letting her know you'd be staying at the dorms, which she fully agreed to.

The Festa is the celebration of BTS’ debut on 13 June 2013. It takes place in the first half of June, with something being released almost every day. There are usually dance practices, songs, photo albums, and members’ profiles.

Here's the official page and the timeline for the 2023 Festa:

As usual, the poster features a lot of nods to the group. You can find the number 7 in a lot of places: the sum of the points on each dice (4+2+1), the pile of pink cards, the number of gifts on the board, the number of gifts outside the board, and the number of poles. There are two pawns with an ARMY logo and one with a BTS logo. This last one is on the June 13 case, namely the group's birthday. And purple is the dominant color.

"Take Two" and BTS PRESENTS EVERYWHERE announcements

BTS PRESENTS EVERYWHERE is a massive collaboration between Hybe and several brands to provide ARMY with BTS-themed merch and billboards. You can find more information in the notices about the Partner Event Guide and the Seoul landmarks. It notably included a JEJU Air airplane decorated with BTS pictures.

First and foremost, I want to inform you that this letter need your time to read because my dear fella it is way too long to express my thoughts. If you want to continue reading then I'd appreciate it so much and THANK YOU. I'd just like to share my words of wisdom (LOL) and my gratitude towards our birthday boy. I'd like to share my thoughts through this letter coming from the bottom of my heart. September 1, 1997 A golden boy was born to make a girl heart's burst, he who has a beautiful muscular body yet has a catchy smiling eye and a melting gaze was known to be one and only Jeon Jung-kook and a native satoori of Busan and now living in the busy city of Hannam-dong, Seoul. Though he may not pursue his dream of becoming a great badminton player, but he was given a wisdom to create and build an artistry image through his talent of arts which he build up in the Seoul's School of Performing Arts and graduated as an arts high schooler. But then again his career may have a lot of corners to end it. When the year 2011 came, our beloved creature gave Jungkook another path to take, He then auditioned for the South Korean talent show 'Superstar K', though he was not selected, he recieved offers from seven entertainment companies but our golden boy chose Big Hit Entertainment after seeing our very own leader RM. Before we even saw our golden boy dances gracefully with his BTS family, he appeared one of Jo Kwon MV which is I'm Da One. He also happen to be one of the back up dancer of the group Glam.

Finally 2013 came, June 13, 2013 became a legendary date for him it is because that day was his momentum together with his BTS family, they finally debuted as an rising star idol with the single 2 Cool 4 Skool.

Well, Jungkook took a lot of steps to enter such an trilling yet memorable experience in his life. He took a chance to share his path with us through his musics. He then released his first solo 'Begin' which talks about how he ended up being an Idol and to be with his members. He also took a chance to share his interest in a chill yet bassful music with his second solo track which is 'Euphoria'.

Through his years in the industry which gave him a wheel to turn ups and down, he did not change his mind set but he continued on producing his thoughts through melody, he showed how deep his passion in working through his graceful dances, he also gave his heart warming message through listen to their music.

He turned hundred of pages of his journey with his six supportive members. He may be the youngest but mind us fellas, he is the great golden maknae of the squad which gave happiness over loniless, shared lively stages over dull cameras, he even put his shoes over hectic schedules, he shed lot of tearful momentus, he filled out our galleries with lot of memes and heart busting photos.

Calculating doesn't even fit in his dictoniary despite of how much or how many calendars of hectic activities he had just to give us the meaning of 'A Moment To Remember'. Sometimes he feel tired, feel lonely, he even feel like passing out, he also experienced dosing out his energy and tried to hide his tears but despite of all those challenges, he had still showed to us how passionate he was given us.

Me myself can't even say how thankful I am to be part of this family called ARMY. I am not a Jungkook bais but I have no doubt I still love him as who he was right now. Once a song said 'You showed me I have reason I should love myself...' and thats greatly impact to my life and Jungkook took a part of it. He/they inspired me to do more, thay motivate me to dig dipper, they thought me not jump of that cliff when everything goes wrong.

I know this is not enough to say thank you but atleast I want to share/show how greatful I am to witness and being a part of this huge squad, family rather.

To the Golden Star of our Family,

Yes, I'm just an ordinary young girl called fan, but I'll give my assurance that I'm part of this family called Adorable Representative MC of the Youth, in short, ARMY.

I am also 100% sure that you don't even know that I exist in this world but I'll give you my word that I'm always be with this squad.

And we both know that colliding each parallel world will never happen even in a single mathematical equation, maybe it will have the same path but never in my wildest dream that it will cross each path.

Maybe once we've met, we hold each other hand, we deeply hug each other, we shared smiles but the sadest part is that it took me an hour to meet you and in a minute I realized it happened between the walls of reality. In short, Its just a dream. Well I'm happy to dreamt that kind of fantasy.

Whenever I listen to your melody I always realized how such a wonderful artists are the bts. Your music help me a lot, I mean listen to it whenever I feel so down and it keeps me motivated, It makes my night relaxing, it also makes my surrounding lively when I feel so lonely... and your music had been part of my everyday routine.

I am very thankful that you've been part of this family, and I think if you weren't there, if you weren't a member of BTS, I think it will not be called BANGTAN SEONYONDAN. You guys, everyone of you completed a puzzle.

I also want to get the opportunity to say this to you my dear golden star...,

I wish that you won't get tired on giving us such wonderful melody in our life, I also wish that you will stay healthy and a good looking Jungkook yet manly cookie of our squad. May you have a bountiful blessing, and I also wish that you can still make a lot of beautiful and memorable moments with BANGTAN and also with us, the ARMY.
